LA CASA DI DORA Country House

La casa di Dora is an ideal place to establish a harmonious relationship with the rural and cultural context of the Marches. It is situated in a small hamlet, in Belforte del Chienti, halfway between the Adriatic coast ant the Sibylline mountains. The building is a traditional farmhouse newly restored, which gives the opportunity to lodge in comfortable, self-contained apartments. From here it is possible to go and visit the local precious art treasures, to have excursions and enjoy the mountain landscape of the Sibyllines or the sunny beaches of the Marches.

Recently renovated into a stunning country house, its unique location in the centre of Italy provides an ideal base to make numerous excursions into the Marche, and to explore the neighbouring regions of Umbria and Tuscany.

Our guesthouse, „Locanda dell’Istrice“, is located at the foot of the medieval castle "Rocca d’Ajello“ near Camerino, in the Marche Region, Italy. We live in the middle of nature, surrounded by the beautiful hills of the Macerata Province in the Marche. It is the ideal place to relax, take walks, as well as a perfect starting point for visiting many culturally rich cities nearby as well as throughout central Italy. Our Locanda has a long history. We took over this old stone house in 2006 and renovated it with help from many friends. Everything has become exactly the way we had imagined it.
